iGEM Thessaly 2025 will participate in a global Synthetic Biology competition called iGEM, that will be held this year in Paris, France. We are a research team that consists of 9 students from the University of Thessaly. This year, iGEM Thessaly 2025 will compete in the Oncology category. Our goal is finding a better treatment for Pancreatic cancer, one of the leading causes of cancer-related deaths worldwide. We recognize the importance of the problem, especially as pancreatic cancer is one of the least treatable cancers, responsible for hundrets of thousands of deaths each year and with a 5-year survival rate of only 10%. We are, therefore, aiming to create a potential solution that specifically addresses pancreatic cancer, ensuring better and healther lives for thousands, for present and future generations to come.
